Introduction to my music

The last band I was in, “Double Trouble,” started as a duo then developed into guitar, bass drums and saxophone over about 5 or 6 years. We named ourselves after the rhythm section of Stevie Ray Vaughn’s band. We played a lot of “Texas Blues” (people like Stevie Ray Vaughn, Johnny Winter, ZZ Top, a few songs off that popular Garry Moore album of the nineties called “Still Got The Blues For You”), but we also did some stuff like BB King, T-Bone Walker, Buddy Guy, John Myall and some more commercial stuff off the radio with a blues feel every now and then. We played in a lot of hotels in an area between Bathurst, Lithgow and Katoomba. We were also regulars at the annual Lithgow Blues Festival and played several Bike Club rallies. We were also invited to play at the Sydney Harbourside Brasserie which would have been a fabulous opportunity, but the guys in the band had other commitments.

These days I do a solo gig with acoustic guitar in bars and restaurants, playing mostly older pop standards with a few newer ones and a few originals thrown in. Solo is very new for me and I find it quite a challenge. I mostly play at a nice little wine bar in Valletta
